The 2015 Château Crabitey has a conservative bouquet, neat 'n tidy, with briary and blackberry scents gradually unfurling in the glass. The palate is smooth on the entry with well-judged acidity, but I find the second half a little over-extracted and it lacks the finesse displayed by the nose. Perhaps this could have been better with more prudence.

The 2015 Crabitey is full of personality and character. Gravel, iron, savory herbs and smoke lead into a core of dark fruit in this powerful, distinctive Graves. There is more than enough depth to suggest the 2015 will drink well for at least a handful of years.
