There is just over 4.2ha of Gravières rouge, with a similar south and east exposure, near the bottom of the slope, with limestone scree in the soils. This has aromas of ripe black plum and cassis, plus an impressive density and tannic grip on the palate. Truly a wine of complexity and depth. Lovely. The fruit was picked very ripe in 2019, then destemmed prior to fermentation and ageing in cask (20% new).

Another high-point of the range is the 2019 Santenay 1er Cru Les Gravières, a medium to full-bodied, round and fleshy wine evocative of rose petals, red berries, raw cocoa and warm spices. Framed by velvety tannins and succulent acids, it will offer a broad drinking window.
