The Ettore Germano 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba has a robust fruit profile with dried cherry and blackcurrant. Those aromas segue to dried rosemary, licorice, iron ore and red brick. That metallic earthy quality is a trait often found in the full-bodied Nebbiolos from Serralunga d'Alba. This is a production of 9,500 bottles.

Exuding personality, the 2019 Barolo Del Comune Di Serralunga D'Alba is spiced and open with the cologne of fresh pine, sour cherry, and toasted cedar. This medium-bodied red is linear and well-balanced, with angular tannins and zesty acidity. This is a clean and tightly wound red to drink 2025-2035.

The 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba is a potent yet expressive wine. Dark fruit, herbs, leather, licorice, scorched earth and gravel are all laced together in this decidedly somber Barolo. Firm Serralunga tannins wrap it all together. There is certainly plenty of village character here.
