The 2018 Savigny-lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Lavières is performing nicely from bottle, offering up a rich bouquet of blackberries, smoked meats, plums, spices and violets, it's medium to full-bodied, fleshy and lavish, with a generous core of sun-kissed, almost opulent fruit that's framed by succulent acids and powdery tannins. This is another 2018 that bears a strong resemblance to a hypothetical blend of the 2003 and 2005 vintages.

This is elegant and expressive, sporting strawberry, cherry and earth flavors. Firm and taut, with fine length. Drink now through 2025. 200 cases imported.
