Wine with great minerality. The register is oriented mainly on the aromatic flint. The mouth is often lively and full of complexity. Food Pairing: Fishes, crustaceans, white meat.

Over 25 years Vincent has managed to build one of the most dynamic, young, successful companies in all Burgundy. This cannot, of course, be achieved unless the wines are truly exceptional - and they are!

From his state-of the-art cellars in Meursault, Vincent has both increased his land holdings to the current 20 hectares and also established contracts to buy grapes from top quality vineyards, where he can control production. strictly reduce yields and hand-pick. A large percentage of the vineyards from which he buys grapes are also biodynamic or organic.

White wines now make up 90% of his production. Following a rigorous sorting and gentle pressing, the wines are barrel fermented (10-35% new oak), with wild yeasts. Elevage is between 14 to 20 months.

Slightly more expensive than the Les Vieilles Vignes, the 2017 Meursault Les Narvaux comes from vines just above the Premier Cru lieu-dit of Les Genevrières. Brought up in 15% new French oak, it has a rocking bouquet of caramelized green apples, crushed citrus, toasted nuts, and flinty minerality. These give way to a medium-bodied Meursault that has racy acidity, beautiful balance, and building richness that comes through on the finish. It's going to put on weight with another year in bottle and keep for over a decade. It's a brilliant effort that I'd be thrilled to have in the cellar.

The 2017 Meursault Les Narvaux has also fulfilled the promise it showed from barrel, wafting from the glass with scents of citrus oil, Anjou pear, hazelnuts and stuck flint. On the palate, the wine is medium to full-bodied, deep and satiny, both more textural and more introverted than the Tillets-and note that it was among the last wines in the cellar to be bottled-with racy acids and a long, saline finish.

Bright yellow. Pure peach on the nose. Then much more lemony and quite dry in the mouth--even a bit shocking following the nose. Saline minerality and a hint of crushed stone are joined by a faintly lactic quality. Finishes slightly tart and spiky; this wine, made from an "almost normal" crop level of 40 hectoliters per hectare, will need a bit of time to fill in.
