The 2019 Barolo Brunate emerges from a tiny half-hectare plot at the highest elevation in the vineyard. It presents a beguiling mix of all the balsamic notes typical of Brunate, along with an extra bit of mid-palate texture that comes from aging in a slightly smaller cask vis-a-vis the other Barolos. Firm tannins need time to soften.

A crystalline red, whose vivid cherry and raspberry fruit is shaded by tar and iron flavors, with light tannins emerging on the finish to leave a tactile sensation. Combines elegance and power. Best from 2026 through 2043. 70 cases made.
